Learn About Dr. Ruthann Russo


Ruthann is the founder and CEO of SOHL, where she combines passions for technology and evidence-informed self-care to build optimal, measurable health for organizations and their stakeholders. She creates and implements innovative system-wide functions that increase profitability and employee and customer satisfaction. She has worked with over 200 healthcare systems and Fortune 100 firms.

Ruthann originally trained as a healthcare attorney and then founded and served as CEO for 3 health technology firms. At SOHL, she and her team create organizational health using microlearning, technology, and continuous measurement. She is a life-long learner who has earned 4 doctoral and 2 master’s degrees and is a double board certified integrative medicine practitioner specializing in acupuncture, Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Lifestyle Medicine. She serves as board vice-chair for Saybrook University, the first accredited university to offer graduate degrees in Mind-Body Medicine and Functional Nutrition.

As a TEDx speaker, she recently delivered a presentation entitled, Your Vital Role in Reimagining Healthcare. She is the creator of the Senior Healthcare Executive Wellness and Self-care Action Research Project and the author of 7 Steps to Your Best Possible Healthcare: The Essential Guide for Crafting Your Personal Healthcare Plan.
